It was an exciting media week for Ruby Mae Jewelry. What a difference good advice makes.
With the guidance of a fantastic social media consultant, Bev Lefebvre, I now know the proper format for a press release, signature line & email etiquette.
We reconnected after 20+ years thanks to Facebook. After our second meeting, I had a smile on my face, so excited for all she taught me.
She’s encouraged I jump into twitter land. And, I am getting more confident with my tweets & check it as often as Facebook.
I have two twitter accounts, one as rubymaejewelry & the other one for my second career as a TV stage manager with the handle, stagemgrleah.

The press release I wrote was about Dad joining my business. Next, I emailed it to various news outlets & 5 minutes after emailing it, a Fox 10 producer (I happen to know), called & said they wanted an interview. ( She didn’t realize it was me in the story)
The interview happened on Friday. They were here an hour & it went great. Hopefully my dress wasn’t too tight & it looks ok on the sitting shots.
(I took a chance with the dress that I would be standing the whole time) Live & learn. It should air sometime before Father’s Day. Don’t know when yet.
Tuesday dad & I are doing a joint interview with AZ Foothills Magazine. Fingers crossed everyone. We still get nervous.
This is what my new email signature line looks like. It didn’t copy over great but you get the idea. Still tweaking the color pink.
