Ruby Mae Jewelry is the daughter I always wanted. She is sweet and cute and feminine and fun to play with. She is named after my mother Patty Mae Jacobson and her mother Ruby Snedigar.If I had a daughter, that is what I would have named her.

I officialy began RMJ May 1, 2011. Altho I’ve made jewelry for 10 yrs, it’s my first official jewelry business and it’s taken off like a butterfly.

This blog is going to be about the small details of starting my business and the sweet women I meet along the way. I’ve already had the priveledge to meet many and hear their touching stories and create for them something new & unique from items that were unused or forgotten.

My mom passed away December 26, 2010 and I miss her everyday. I’ve met older women, strangers really and we talk about buttons or such and then they tell me their name is Pat or Patty. It’s happened a few times. I was walking and having a confident feeling about myself and this business and I walked past a woman who looked up at me and smiled and she looked just like my sweet my Mom. I take those moments and hold onto them.

Being in the world without my Mom is strange and sad and unfamiliar. But I know shes watching me and enjoying all the blessings that have come my way with RMJ.
