The inspiration for this item came from my loved one. I noticed that she held onto my bracelet and played with it for a few hours. I wanted to offer her something more stimulating. I have a wide variety of beads and buckles in my workroom to choose from. I enjoy making them and no two are alike.
She has Alzheimer’s and she plays with hers a lot. She rolls her fingers over each bead or buckle. Comments from family members is that she loves it. It’s not just the textures she likes but also the shapes.
It is ONLY meant for adults. Shoppers have also bought them for restless hands while sitting in traffic or after stressful days. The various textures are a possible choking hazard and it is not intended for babies, children or young adults.
I use a heavy 20 gauge wire to individually wire wrap each bead and then connect it to the others.
