While out treasure hunting/ garage sailing yesterday I came upon some great finds & met some really interesting people.
I just had to take a picture of this blown glass chandalier I saw at an estate sale. It was a gift from her husband & not for sale. While he was touring the blown glass factory in Morano, Italy, he commissioned it for his wife for a Valentines Day gift. So romantic. It took two months for them to make it & it came in 3 crates. Shannon said they were terrified hanging it up.
I met Meri Wiley who is a freelance artist/blogger who creates these one of a kind paper clay sculptures among other objects & teaches a wide variety of classes in her home. They were really impressive to see up close.
Peter sold me some of his mother Shirley's jewelry & when I saw this painting his grandmother did 50 years ago, I had to get it for the art wall in my studio. Lastly, I thought these vintage bow ties were too cute to pass up. Surely one of my boys will need a bow tie someday.
