Do you have a hole in your heart because you are missing a loved one?

My dad Jake was a big part of my small business from 2015 to 2025. He had been meticulously hand stamping name and date charms for my clients and one day he came in with a Hole In My Heart charm. He said he thought it was for people like hi missing a loved one. My mom was his childhood sweetheart and she passed in 2010 from Ovarian Cancer.

He had been looking for something to represent his loss. He thought there might be more people like him who have a hole in their heart too. I posted it on social media and people asked to drive over that night to get one.

What started as one metal and one size has grown to 3 metals, 4 sizes and an option for a lost dog, cat or horse.

Before he passed in 2024, he taught me how to polish, stamp, double hole punch, stain and polish again. I proudly carry on his idea and labour of love.

This charm measures 3/4″ across and is Sterling Silver.

***These charms are handmade and this is a stock photo. The actual charm may have heart placed slightly higher on the disc or hole on the left side of the heart. Just like our own hearts, they are perfectly imperfect.

This handmade charm was designed by my dad Jake for those dearly missing a beloved pet.

He creates all of our hand stamp charms and one night he came by with a round charm with a heart stamped onto it with a hole thru it. He said to me, “this one is for people like me with a hole in their heart missing a loved one everyday”. We thn decided need also needed one for a pet.

I posted a pic of the charm on Facebook and Instagram and asked others what they thought of it. I had strangers driving to my house within an hour to buy & pick up these charms.

At the September Junk In The Trunk Vintage Market show in Scottsdale, Arizona I was interviewed for the morning show and we featured these charms. I found it very moving that people of all ages got in their cars and drove across town to buy our Hole In My Heart charms. I would ask them who they lost and they would share it with me and sometimes we would both cry.

We purchase all of our materials locally and this one is a silver tone 3/4″ inch flat charm made of Sterling silver.
