My dad Jake created the idea of the Hole In My Heart Charm. He made all of our hand stamped charms and one night he brought the one on the left to me. He said, “do you think anyone will want one. It’s for people like me with a hole in my heart.” I said, “I don’t know, let me post it on social media”. The response was overwhelming. When I listed them for sale I had folks driving over to my house within an hour to pick one up. Some people request a second or third hole punched for lost loved ones.  The dog bone is for those who lost their pet.

    Do you have a hole in your heart because you are missing a loved one?

    My dad Jake was a big part of my small business from 2015 to 2025. He had been meticulously hand stamping name and date charms for my clients and one day he came in with a Hole In My Heart charm. He said he thought it was for people like hi missing a loved one. My mom was his childhood sweetheart and she passed in 2010 from Ovarian Cancer.

    He had been looking for something to represent his loss. He thought there might be more people like him who have a hole in their heart too. I posted it on social media and people asked to drive over that night to get one.

    What started as one metal and one size has grown to 3 metals, 4 sizes and an option for a lost dog, cat or horse.

    Before he passed in 2024, he taught me how to polish, stamp, double hole punch, stain and polish again. I proudly carry on his idea and labour of love.

    This charm measures 3/4″ across and is Sterling Silver.

    ***These charms are handmade and this is a stock photo. The actual charm may have heart placed slightly higher on the disc or hole on the left side of the heart. Just like our own hearts, they are perfectly imperfect.
