It was code for “I Love You” created by Budd & Eleanor. They were married for over 65 years & when Budd went to WWII they wrote letters and on the back of each envelope was written 123 (meaning) I Love You. They continued to use the 123 throughout their lives. From phone numbers 1123, to license plate B123E, engraved on watches, written in concrete on sidewalks and they always kissed 3 times. They would tap each other 3 times on each others thumbs when holding hands…just to name a few ways. Budd and El are both gone but their tradition continues with their children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces & nephews. They left an amazing legacy of love.
